Job Description
We are currently seeking for passionate and dynamic guest focused Front Office professionals who pride themselves on their ability to deliver extraordinary levels of customer service and provide creative solutions to our guests.
As a Guest Experience Coordinator you are responsible to facilitate the guest’s arrival and departure by streamlining the operation and communication within the Front Office and other departments, ensuring every guest stay will become a memorable experience whereby your role will include key responsibilities such as:
• Maintain effective communication with all related departments to ensure a smooth service delivery
• Deal promptly, efficiently and pleasantly with any queries and resolve guest complaints that may arise
• Maintain good working relationship with all Front Office colleagues with particular emphasis on Guest Services and Front Desk
• Ensure that the guest receive the accommodation he / she is expecting
• Coordinate with all Managers and Supervisors of Front Office to ensure that daily Front Office operations run smoothly
• Coordinate with all other operational departments to ensure all requirements are communicated effectively and efficiently
• Attend to all guest inquires, that are directed to them, in a professional and helpful manner
• Ensure all arriving guests rooms are either assigned prior to arrival or are sufficiently available for the Front Desk to allocate upon arrival
• Maintain an up to date knowledge of all groups in terms of arrival, stay and departure requirements and communicate this with the department
• Ensure all guest billing is prepared prior to departure to avoid any delays or discrepancies
• Ensure that rooms control and room revenue controls are in place
• Ensure all accounting auditing practices are in line with company practices and governmental requirements, check audits and registration cards before sending them to accounts
• Assist the Guest Service team in the lobby when required
• Know all the emergency procedures and general crisis situation management, including fire and emergency procedures, procedures of handling of Fire Panel, ensuring guest and colleagues safety is followed by all team members
• Operate in a safe and environmentally friendly way to protect guests’ and colleagues’ health and safety, as well as protect and conserve the environment
• Comply with the hotel environmental, health and safety policies and procedures

Skills


Education, Qualifications & Experiences
• You should ideally have a degree in the hospitality field with previous experiences in the Front Office Department within a hotel. You must also have fluency in both written and spoken English and an immaculate personal presentation along with the ability to solve problems effectively. Computer literate and knowledge of Opera will be highly regarded.

Knowledge & Competencies
The ideal candidate will be well versed in Guest Relations and Executive Club operations with excellent presentation and communication skills as well as a high aptitude for customer care. You are an extremely proactive and ‘switched on’ person with an outgoing, charismatic and approachable character. • Receive guests in a professional and friendly manner, exceeding guest expectation from arrival through to departure
• Maintain effective communication with all related departments to ensure smooth service delivery
• Maintain an up to date knowledge of the hotel and local services
• Maintain awareness of guest profile through Opera guest profile system
• Ensure that the guest luggage is carried from arrival point to room and from room to departure point on check out
• Handle all messages, mail and packages for guests and employees, ensuring they are delivered at the appropriate time in a professional manner

Skills

JOB DETAILS:
Geita Gold Mining Ltd (GGML) is Tanzania’s leading gold producer with a single operation in Geita Region. The company is a subsidiary of AngloGold Ashanti, an international gold producer headquartered in South Africa, with operations in more than ten countries, in four continents. The mine is situated in the Lake Victoria Gold fields of Northwestern Tanzania, only about 85 km’s from Mwanza City and 20 km’s Southeast of the nearest point of Lake Victoria. The company has its head office in Geita, only 5 Km’s west of the fast-growing town of Geita, and also a supporting office in Dar es Salaam. Applications are invited from ambitious, energetic and performance driven individuals to fill in vacant position(s) mentioned below:

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
To install underground services such as Air lines, water lines, dewatering lines, secondary ventilation fans and vent ducting; Extend Jumbo and pump cables, firing lines and electrical cables.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Certificate of Secondary School Education.

EXPERIENCE:
• 2-3 years of operational experience in UG Mining environment.
• Experience of operating underground utility vehicles.
• Erection of Underground Civil Projects.

MAIN OR KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Safety:
• Learn and follow the Safety requirements related to your work.
• Consider what could go wrong and what needs to be done to work safely before starting a task.
• Report to Supervisor if a task cannot be done safely
• Utilize Take 5 tool to identify Hazard at the workplace.
• Suggest ways to improve Safety performance.
• Promptly report all injuries, damages, or incidents.
• Help others to work safely.

Installation of Services underground – Air, water, and dewatering lines:
• Stretch Poly to make it straight and tow to required location.
• Install, connect, and hang poly pipes on the J-triple hook hangers secured with chain and shackles.
• Install air droppers lifted at least 1.5m above the ground level,
• Blow pipes to free dirt inside pipes before connecting Headers on.
• Headers properly chained to the wall via an eye bolt or on the spilt set plate with shackles.
• Installation of Secondary ventilation.
• Install fan at correct location as per approved Installation plan.
• Install and tight by attaching to rock bolt with shackles a plastic-coated steel knocker line.
• Hang and Extend ventilation bags to at least 20m from the face.
Working with electrical submissible pumps underground:
• Set the pump in the sump or in decline to pump out water.
• Hang and support the pump cable clear off the floor.
• Check the pump in the sumps and report any defect noted.

Cleaning of Mono Pumps:
• Open the drain valve to release mud ad dirt water.
• Hosing with mine pressurized water in the mono tank.
• Cleaning steel step ladders and landing platform.
• Inspect all connection on the pipes and on mono tank.

Installing, Grouting and Tensioning of Cable bolts:
• Inspect, prepare equipment, tools and materials required for the job.
• Uncoil cable bolts, attach breather tubes, and transport them to working area.
• Safely insert cables into the holes and seal hole collar.
• Prepare Cement grout mix and grout the cables/holes to standard.
• Perform general housekeeping after the work is completed.
• After grout is set and hardened, apply Tension on the Cable bolt as per required Geotechnical standard.

Hanging and retrieving electrical cables:
• Hang cables on the backs, suspended on the hooks and separated from services
• Position cables and back-to-back connections to location where it cannot be damaged.
• Hang Jumbo Trail cables on L-pins and install Trail Cable sign on the ground.
• Rolling to inside an I.T Basket when retrieving cables.

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:
• Valid Tanzanian Driving License.
• Valid Blasting License (Supplementary)
• Thorough understanding and application of Job Safety Analysis Tool.
• Trained and competent to operate an Integrated Tool Carrier (I.T machine)
