JOB DETAILS:
Role Description:
Manage daily Security operational duties by coordinating all Security Stakeholders in the Mine, Managing the Compliance on VPSHR, Preparations of all Reports required by Mine Chief Security Manager. Follow up of relevant report writing and logging on CiiMS. Advice the Security Manager and the company on matters relating to security.

Tasks and Responsibilities:
1. Responsible to oversee all security operations duties in a daily basis and reports to the Mine Chief Security Manager
2. Responsible to coordinate all Security Stakeholders in the mine.
3. Responsible to attend all the meeting in absence of Mine Chief Security Manager.
4. Responsible to maintain strict confidentiality.
5. Responsible to provide guidance to disciplinary actions to employees within the department.
6. Responsible to interpret and apply company policies, procedure or rules.
7. Establish and maintain good working relationships and an effective / sound communication system with WDL and in operations of security functions.
8. Responsible for liaison and attending meeting prepared / arranged by Social Development Department
9. Responsible for liaison as required with TPF regarding cases and Investigation issues.
10. Reporting, Monitoring and Evaluation Audit: Ensure that all reports are accurate and complied
11. Responsible to compile detailed investigation reports, file and maintain records.
12. Responsible to undergo continuous training and development as required.
13. Responsible to register, update and maintain the Investigations Module on CiiMS.
14. Responsible to compile detailed Criminal Cases Status reports, file and maintain records.
15. Other Duties in relation to Security Supervision level.

Minimum Requirements for all applicants:
• Bachelor of Arts in Administration Management OR Bachelor of Laws or its equivalent.
• A minimum of 5 years in security and crime investigations experience in the mining, corporate or business industry.
• Experience in Militia National Service or ex government Security personnel from reliable Institutions experience will be an added advantage.
• Strong technical skills of security functioning systems.
• Proven computer literacy in MS Office/excel and programming.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English/Swahili

JOB DETAILS:
Reporting to the Security Manager, the primary function of this role is to ensure that the security of the school is run effectively. The security manager is accountable to the responsible Director for the school but since he cannot be there for (24) hours a day, he has to be supported.
The Security officer’s responsibility is to support the security manager in such a manner that when he is not present security officer covers him and works collaboratively with outsourced security guards.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience
• 5 years experience as the Security Officer preferably in a School set-up.
• Must have completed secondary education with relevant training in security management and child protection or related fields is required.

Responsibilities
• The primary responsibilities for Security Officer will be:
• Assist in checking the Inventory List with physical items and ensure that all working equipment are in good working order.
• Check that all outsourced security guards report on duty as per contractual agreement and report any breach of this to the security manager
• Check the occurrence book for any report made by the previous shift and discuss these with the outsourced security coordinator and make sure the security manager is well informed
• Check the email for any new instructions; if necessary clarify with the security manager.
• Give the security guards their specific instructions before deployment.
• Ensure that all outsourced guards are correctly equipped through liaising with site superintendent before taking up their assignments.
• Make sure that all security guards of the shift know exactly what is required of them in terms of the school instructions through liaising with their security team leaders.
• Check and monitor the outsourced security guards performance and correct any areas, which need improvement.
• Brief the outsourced security supervisors on changing situations as informed by principals, security manager or any relevant authority from the school
• Patrol around the school; this may be day or night patrol, gather information so that you are fully aware should the outsourced security team leaders not report as they should.
• Brief the outsourced security supervisors to make sure they send security guards out on patrol, encouraging them to check for information related to the prevention, detection and countering of any activity or actions that are visible or audible.
• To make sure outsourced security guards do check on the state of doors windows and gates after normal working hours.
• Conduct investigation of incident/accident as appropriate.
• Perform any other duties that may be assigned to him by the security manager.
