Core Job Description
Diagnose, technical complex problems and perform repairs of components and systems on Heavy vehicle, earth moving, tractors and Agricultural equipment

Key Accountabilities
• Able to identify and list spare parts that are required for the repairs in a spare part catalogue.
• Read & understanding equipment operating & repair manuals and execute the works as per manufacturer's instructions.
• Understanding the hydraulic & electrical schematics, able to diagnose a problem and perform the repairs.
• Perform scheduled & preventive maintenance / repairs as per the manufacturer's recommendations.
• Diagnose and identify malfunctions, using a computer & other diagnostic tools.
• Fully understanding equipment system operation" such as power train, engine, transmission, hydraulics, brakes, electrics, and monitoring systems.
• Overhaul and test major components and systems abovementioned.
• Disassemble and reassemble equipment accessories and components.
• Properly record and report the details of the job that has been performed to his foreman or supervisor.
• Will be requested as and when required to coach, guide & train mechanics.
• Perform any other related duties as may be assigned.

Core Competencies
The position holder shall be required to perform the above duties on the following types of equipment:
• Earth-moving equipment such as Graders, Crawlers, Excavators, Wheel Loaders and Generators.
• Cane Harvesters and Mobile Cranes.

Personal Specifications
Degree or Diploma holder in Mechanical, Agro Mechanical Engineering. Or a combination of relevant academic qualifications/Certificate in Mechanical, electrical, Heavy vehicle, Agro Mechanical Engineering. At least 10 years working experience on Heavy Vehicle, earth moving or Tractors as a mechanic + 3 to 5 years' experience working as a Technician on the above type of equipment. Working experiences in industries such as mining, sugar production, tractor, heavy & earth moving equipment dealers recommendable.

Job Profile
• Install, repair, inspect and commission products and equipment of different kind at customer site or own premises.
• Support technicians from other regions and assist in training.
• Plan, conduct and maintain tools and equipment for service work.
• Maintain inspection test reports and documentation.
• Identify faults in the electrical and mechanical configuration of various mobile suppression systems.
• Adhere to all policies & procedures especially the EHS policies
• Work effectively either in a team environment or autonomously.
• Assist with machine audits/inspections
• Support technicians from other regions and assist in training.

Your Profile
• Relevant trade qualifications and experience is desirable.
• Direct knowledge and exposure to fire suppression systems applicable underground underground is important.
• You are flexible to work with customer requirements, procedures and safety policies.
• The ideal candidate will have strong customer relation skills and the ability to effectively work within a team.
• However, installation and service experience of Mobile Fire Suppression systems will be a distinct advantage.

Academic Qualifications and Experience:
Full Technician Certificate and Three years experience working as an electrical technician in a reputable institution preferably in factories.

Job Purpose:
He/She will be reporting to maintenance Supervisor-Auto electrician.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

• Carries out auto electrical repairs according to manufacturer’s specification;
• Repairs electrical/electronic breakdowns including major breakdowns to company fleet and standby generators;
• Submits spares requirement to workshop auto electric Charge hand;
• Cares for all tools, service equipment, compressors, etc. in the workshop;
• Carries out alternate electrical service to vehicles/tractor generators/mobile irrigation pumps as per schedule;
• Maintains a clean working environment with proper housekeeping;
• Does physical checkup and report any deviation/damage to company property; and
• Performs any other related duty that may be assigned by superiors.


Academic Qualifications and Experience:
Form IV with trade test certificate grade II in Auto electrician and should be above 3 years’ experience as an Auto Electrician.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:
• Supervise the refinery plant operations professionally and effectively in the process section;
• Ensures good quality massecuites are produced;
• Performs centrifugal station sugar melting plan;
• Monitors melt clarification and decolonization performance;
• Supervises pan boilers;
• Monitor, control and focus on achieving refined sugar colour, turbidity and conductivity of required specs;
• Prepare, compile and control refinery plant budgetary parameters;
• Enhance Refinery Technology practices in refinery plant section;
• Focus on achievement of Safety Health and Environment and Sugar quality accreditations;
• Focus on minimum operating practices at every refinery stage so as to minimize losses;
• Conduct in – service training to operators, pan boilers and on proper cleaning and daily maintenance of equipment / machines on the refinery plant; and
• Performs any other duty as may be assigned

Academic Qualifications and Experience:
Diploma in Food Processing or equivalent qualification and should have an experience of at least three (3) years’ experience in Refinery processing Plant, mainly sugar.

Job Purpose:
Liaises with Laboratory Superintendent, Raw House In charge, Refinery In charge and Warehouse in charge on when to start the Production exercise under the prevailing circumstances:

Key Roles & Responsibilities:
• Performs boiling house planning for both refinery and raw houses by ensuring efficient operations;
• Makes good use of steam by ensuring that machines are operating efficiently and steam generations is adequate to production of both brown and refined sugar at time;
• Communicates on all incidents;
• Assists all employees during maintenance day;
• Trouble shoots pans, evaporators pumps; and
• Performs any other duty as may be assigned.

Academic Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor of Science in Chemical Processing Engineering or equivalent qualification and should have an experience of at least six (6) years’ experience in Sugar processing Industry.
