Tandahimba Community Bank is a profit making community bank which was registered as a business entity in 2005 and was registered and licensed by the Bank of Tanzania as a community bank in year 2008 to carry out financial services in Mtwara region.

The shareholders of TACOBA includes Tandahimba, Newala, Masasi and Mtwara Rural District Councils, Tanzania Growth-Registered Trustees, The Tandahimba Newala Cooperative Union (TANECU), Primary Schools, SACCOS & AMCOS, Village Councils, NGO and Individuals.
