Objective of the function
To proactively facilitate the implementation of component 2 activities in accordance with the programme document and the annual work plan, developed in cooperation with MVTTC, on the development of a self-study modular teacher training course.

Main Tasks
To proactively facilitate the implementation of component 2 activities in accordance with the programme document and the annual work plan, developed in cooperation with MVTTC, on the development of a self-study modular teacher training course.
Detail Tasks
• Take the lead for implementing component 2 by working closely with MVTTC and the team leader.
• Cooperate with MVTTC staff on the implementation of the work plan.
• Liaise with the relevant staff at VETA Head Office.
• Develop and closely follow the progress of the module working groups developing the training modules.
• Ensure that a gender agenda underpins the development of the modules.
• Maintain close contact with FDCs (management and teachers).
• Plan and implement pilot training activities.
• Develop ToRs and supervise sub-contractors.
• Compile and disseminate assessment results.
• Responsible for compiling data for Monitoring and Results Measurement (MRM.

Qualifications & experience
• A minimum of a bachelor’s or higher degree in programme/project management, education, adult learning, vocational education, vocational teacher training or equivalent;
• A minimum of seven years’ work experience in development initiatives related to skills development/vocational education and training, and curriculum development at NVA/NTA-level;
• Working experience from the TVET in Tanzania;
• Experience working in:
• Cross-functional teams;
• Facilitating curriculum or course development activities involving a multitude of stakeholders;
• Developing and implementing complex project activities;
• Apply a gender agenda at implementation level.
• The ability to write clear and concise reports;
• Excellent communication skills with a high level of written and spoken English and Swahili.
