JOB DETAILS:
The Capacity Building Coordinator will work with National Aids Control Program (NACP) and FASTER Technical Advisor to coordinate and Monitor implementation of Pediatric HIV mentorship program in Tanzania. He/She will plan, organize and execute mentorship trainings in accordance to NACP policies as well work closely with NACP and FASTER Technical Advisor to ensure the provision of high-quality training and technical assistance to pediatric HIV Mentors, Provide ongoing supervision and monitoring of the Regional and Council mentors performance through analyzing and producing reports and coordinate the work of the Regional and Council Mentors, as directed by FASTER Technical Advisor. This post includes frequent travel to the field. .

Specific responsibilities.
• Provide guidance to FASTER project to enhance availability of trainings and performance of mentoring and integrated supportive supervision of health facility.
• Support the implementation of strategic plans for pediatric HIV mentorship at council and facility level that are based on evidence and are designed to support improvements in care.
• Provide technical leadership to and build capacity of Mentors, HCW and LGA officials to use available data and information to make strategic decisions for planning, budgeting and supervising systems for health service delivery, and supply chain.
• Contribute to generation and conduct regular review and analysis of project and quality improvement data for selected health facilities to determine progress towards goals and gaps and develop plans for technical assistance and Mentorship to address gaps.
• Provide support to LGA and health facility officials to explore opportunities to collaborate for improving quality of pediatric and adolescent HIV care.
• Coordinate scheduling of program-wide technical assistance activities for selected facilities.
• Provide clear documentation of programmatic achievements and keep project management team informed on monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor which contribute to the achievement of project goals.

Requirements: Education, work experience and skills.
• Reputable first degree in Nursing, Medicine, epidemiology, public health or related field
• Master’s in Public Health, public administration, Epidemiology, social science or improvement science will be an added advantage.
• At least 3-year proven work experience as a Training Coordinator, Trainer, Training Facilitator, or similar role in resource limited health care delivery or administration.
• Demonstrated skills in designing training package and implementing training in health care sector, especially in HIV programming.
• Experience working with PEPFAR funded projects implementing Quality Improvement activities.
• Skills and knowledge in Microsoft Office Applications
• Demonstrated ability to apply data into clinical decision making.
• Must be registered with the relevant regulatory body.
• Experience working with RHMTs and CHMTs is desirable.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, sound judgment, communication skills, and ability to identify and resolve policy and operational constraints effectively.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, set priorities, and work independently.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English & Swahili.
• Willingness and ability to travel at least 70% of the time to project sites.
