The HR Manager will serve as a trusted advisor to management and clients, shaping HR strategy while ensuring seamless execution of day-to-day HR operations.
Key Responsibilities / Duties:
Strategic Leadership & Client Partnership
- Providing expert HR advice and tailored solutions aligned with organizational goals.
- Develop and implement HR strategies that support business objectives for both internal and external operations.
- Advise on workforce planning, organizational design, succession planning, and talent development.
- Ensure HR practices align with Tanzanian labor laws and international HR standards.
HR Operations & Talent Management
- Lead payroll, benefits administration, and performance management processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Supervise the maintenance of employee records and data integrity and legal compliance.
- Drive policy development, review, and implementation across client organizations.
Employee Relations & Culture Development
- Act as an escalation point for complex employee relations issues, ensuring resolutions are fair, compliant, and sustainable.
- Lead disciplinary procedures, grievance handling, and conflict resolution for client organizations.
- Support in building positive workplace cultures through employee engagement strategies, training, and leadership coaching.
- Oversee exit management processes, including structured exit interviews and offboarding compliance.
Administrative and Compliance Management
- Ensure all HR practices align with local labor laws and industry regulations.
- Prepare and maintain accurate documentation for audits, reporting, and client review.
- Assist in drafting HR policies, contracts, and proposals.
Collaboration and Process Improvement
- Manage and mentor HR staff, fostering a high-performing team.
- Identify opportunities for process efficiency and service improvement.
- Design and deliver HR workshops, training sessions, and consultancy programs.
Job Requirements
Language Skills: Proficiency in English language is preferred.
Mobility: Ability to travel as required for client visits and meetings.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience: 5 to 7 years of experience preferably in a consultancy or client-facing role.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in HR software and MS Office Suite.
Knowledge: Strong understanding of Tanzania labor laws and HR practices.
Competencies:
- Problem-solving mindset and ability to handle sensitive issues with discretion.
- High attention to detail, especially in documentation and compliance.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build lasting client relationships.
- Collaborative team player with a customer-centric approach
